Kosmo Machine is proud to celebrate the incredible ongoing journey of one of our apprentices—a shining example of how education, training, and opportunity come together to create a strong future workforce.
After graduating from Henrico County’s Advanced Career Education (ACE) Center’s Precision Machine Technology Program and Varina High, with a 4.0 GPA, Kyler Harris-Mazzone joined Kosmo Machine as an apprentice in the summer of 2025.

The ACE Center prepares upper-level high school students for the workforce by giving them the chance to focus their learning around specific subjects, skills, or career goals by engaging in hands-on learning experiences. Kosmo hosts the ACE Center’s machining and welding program students on-site to foster a pathway for the students, not only to see real applications of the skills they’re learning, but to deepen understanding, foster curiosity, and inspire careers. It was during one of these on-site visits to Kosmo that the company met Kyler, realized his enthusiasm and interest, and quickly formed a relationship focused on investing in his talent. Once at Kosmo, Kyler was ready to hit the ground running. Through another valued partnership, Kosmo was able to sponsor Kyler’s enrollment with the Advanced Training for Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) program, where he completed 16 weeks of intensive CNC machining training. This December, he graduated from ATDM, with high regard from his instructors, and returned to Kosmo to resume his apprenticeship, continuing his path toward mastery in advanced machining.
But the journey doesn’t stop there. He will now pursue advanced machine courses at Brightpoint Community College, further strengthening his skills and preparing for a long-term career in precision manufacturing.
At Kosmo Machine, we believe in building bridges within our local community to create opportunities and develop the next generation of skilled professionals. By partnering with educational institutions and advanced training programs, we’re not just filling jobs—we’re investing in people, empowering them to thrive in high-demand fields, and ensuring the future of American manufacturing remains strong.
This is a testament to what happens when businesses, schools, and training programs work together. At Kosmo, we’re proud to be part of that mission.
