Media Blasting Technician

Position Summary

Are you looking for an entry-level position in a manufacturing environment? We’re hiring two technicians to clean & condition parts that are worn, out of specification, and/or damaged using methods such as dry ice, soda blasting, or wet blasting.

This role is responsible for:

  • Transportation of parts to & from customers using company vehicles – CDL license is not required!
  • Set-up & operation of various machines required to recondition parts
  • Operate & clean parts using blasting equipment, chemicals, & other supplies
  • Perform dimensional & visual inspections of parts using jigs & gages

  • Must be available to work a rotating schedule; available minimum of every other Saturday & rotate holidays - receive holiday compensation at time & a half for major holidays worked
  • Ability to transport items safely & securely in Company vehicles
  • Manufacturing experience & previous transport experience preferred, but not required
  • Valid Virginia driver’s license required for transporting parts; as Motor Vehicle Report is a condition of employment
Eligibility Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must pass background check & drug test
  • Due to the frequency & weight demands - ability to lift 50 lbs. or more with assistance, this position requires applicants to successfully pass a Cost Reduction Technology (CRT) Pre-Employment test – strength & agility test
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) consisting of ear protection & gloves
  • To ensure the health & safety of employees who operate a company vehicle, applicants must successfully pass the US Department of Transportation (USDOT) medical exam
Salary Range:
  • Starting salary $18 per hour; salary range up to $22 per hour
