FREE Lunch & Learn Program: Modern Metrology
September 18, 2019
Join your friends at Kosmo Machine for our next Lunch & Learn program “Modern Metrology.”
October 9, 2019
12 noon to 1:30 p.m. EDT
500 Trampton Road, Sandston, VA 23150
Seating is limited, so please click here to RSVP.
We’ll start with lunch, where you can meet and network with some of our team members and fellow manufacturers. Then, Kosmo representatives Mike Redden, Bill Wheeler, Mark Hayman and Jessica Stephenson will open the program by introducing some of the latest changes and new machines at our business, and how they will benefit customers.
Next, we’ll move into the focus of our program: the advanced technologies we use to measure and certify the machine parts created in our shop. Some of the technologies include:
- Keyence, an optical comparator that can take multiple measurements at once as well as difficult measurements, such as tangential points
- Wenzel LH1210, an extremely accurate CNC-bridge design coordinate measuring machine
- Spectral Analysis with the Thermo Scientific Niton XL3, which offers accurate, nondestructive alloy chemical testing
- FAROArm, a portable CMM that can be moved anywhere, with blue light scanning, which can also be used to create prototypes
We’ll also have demonstrations of the FAROArm by Patrick Baltes of FARO Technologies and a new handheld CMM by Taylor Benson of Keyence.
Our measuring tools allow for dimensional analysis CAD-based inspections, on-machine inspections, first article inspection and alignment. They offer a high level of precision to meet the needs of our customers, including those in the aerospace, Department of Defense, and power generation industries.
Kosmo’s Quality Management System is certified for ISO 9001:2015, AS9100 REV-D (Aviation, Space, and Defense), and Naval Level-1 SUBSAFE inspections. Our employees are dedicated to continuing to meet our 99.9% customer acceptance rate and historically maintained 95% on-time delivery rate.
Be sure to bring any questions about any specific jobs you may have, as there will be a Q and A session with Patrick, Taylor and the Kosmo team.
